Amfin Financial Services (a subsidiary of the Alto Group in NSW) contracted our services to redevelop a package that tracks all finance contracts that it writes for hundreds of its customers. The software caters for a range of aspects of the finance negotiations including volumes, margins and collections of incomes from Financiers.
Preston Motors Group in Melboure are the official representatives for, amongst other things, the HSV/Monaro stands at the Melbourne Motor Show. For some years they attempted to run a manual system of recording sales. With the reporting requirements of GST, as well as the obvious issues of retailing offsite they felt it necessary to computerise a point of sale system.
CDS was able to provide the solution of choice by being in a unique position of understanding the existing mainstream system, and the abilty to custom develop a complete solution.
Using the latest technologies, The HSV/Monaro stands rely on scanners to record sales in a very busy point of sale environment. With a web based interface, partial and/or categorised parts searching is also available together with dynamic allocation of new scans to existing parts.
Importing of "Temporarily Invoiced" parts from the main store provide the backbone of a "remote" store. At the end of the process, all trading activity is invoiced back into the mainstream system automatically.

For many years now, the Alto group has adopted an internal document that has been the basis of registering all orders, enterprise wide. Otherwise known as "the Crossword" it is a one page report to upper management that enables them to keep abreast of the orders and sales taken for every vehicle in the Alto operation.
Until recently, it would take the dealerships and head office around half a day a week to receive faxes from the locations, enter the information manually into a spreadsheet and then send the results to management. This system was fraught with room for error. Each manager was sourcing information in any way they felt they could achieve it which was always complicated by the nature of the environment - little time and manual entry of faxed results.
As all orders and sales are recorded in the in house system, CDS found a way to produce the same output daily and effortlessly by converting the already stored information in the in house system. This could then show the resulting report in exactly the format that the dealership wanted. Now the crossword is produced to upper management daily and effortlessly!

In response to a problem where the Alto Group required a solution interface for their stand alone Panel Shop management program so it could link into their main system, CDS developed a Scheduling/Costing tool that closed the gaps between the Mainstream product and the Panel Shop quoting/Invioicing system.
Intended as a "work around", the software has been in place for over 8 years now, and provides an accounting record back to the in house system to record the sales (and their associated costs) for Parts, Paint, Labour and any sublet.
Additionally, all "performance" reporting for technicians and managers is derived from the product also.

For AHG, who would have a stock holding of over 4,000 new and used vehicles at any one time, you can only imagine the importance of controlling aged stock.
In reviewing existing processes for the organisation, it became a priority to review a process that could inform top management of where and how old stock is located around the group.
CDS have created a "daily" process that receives daily information regarding stock holdings around the entire AHG group that presents the entire picture in a simple to read one page format.

Motorline BMW in Queensland felt that their in house solution had a short coming in that there was no useful "scheduling" tool. CDS responded by creating a web based tool that indicates workshop availabilities and allows the maintenance of the shop-available times.

As the Internet grows, and along with it, the expectations of your customers, dealerships are now looking more seriously at the situation for presentation of Vehicle Stock on their own websites.
A number of clients now have turned to CDS to cater for this need individually. CDS offers a product that puts the dealer in control of his website.
