What a year it has been for CDS!
We have taken on the challenge of embarking on multiple, major developments whilst maintaining our unparalleled standard of delivery of our products and services.
For those of who are already infected by the vibrant personality of CDS, there is probably little surprise to you in hearing that in the background we have worked tirelessly on creating some fresh and innovative new products for presentation into the marketplace.
Rather than turning this article into a novel, let me just announce that we have deployed a brand new website to house these new products.
Furthermore, our website facilitates an informative medium so that our existing customer can learn more about CDS. It shows how we can further inform and empower your team with the use of our analytical tools. It also helps our future customers better understand why we are worth engaging as a new business partner.
We have also responded to comments made in the past about our rather lengthy URL. So, in line with a new push to offer "online services", we have appropriately changed our website from www.completedealerservices.com.au to www.cdsonline.net.au
I invite and encourage you to spend five minutes and give our website the once-over. And, if in fact you have six minutes free, we'd love to hear any feedback you'd like to offer.

Echoed on our new web portal, I believe that you will sense the new fresh attitude that every aspect of the CDS business has adopted.
Writing history.
We have just completed writing an important chapter into our history book where high level development, recently burdening our resources, is now fading into the background so we can make way for the next exciting chapter. This new chapter will record a heightened customer focus approach and attitude that is now coming to the fore.
We are in the middle of a restructure that will empower the team at CDS to become even more available than before. With the introduction of a formalised "field team" that facilitates an even more personalised approach to our customer relationship model you, the customer, will benefit from our collective experiences in implementing best practices in the collection and reporting services for Automotive Dealers.
As we stand looking at the dawn of this exciting new era, our hope is that we will include each and every one of your names proudly alongside ours.

Many of you have come to cherish the wealth of information that has been faithfully delivered by our Financial Reporting package known as "In the Know” (ITK).
As the ITK product has matured in the market place during the past 10 years, it has become feature rich and highly reliable in its ability to deliver clear messages to management teams relating to the performance of your businesses.
As our company has come to realise this impressive 10 year milestone with ITK we have taken time to reflect on how CDS could further improve on the value of our product offering to you. The best way to describe what we have achieved is to compare our new product with the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly! When was the last time you looked objectively at your website and asked the "consumer" in yourself these types of questions?

 There is no doubt that world of buying and selling cars is changing fast. Consumers have more tools available at call now and are more informed than ever before. They also have less time than ever to make decisions, based upon the impressions that you can make upon them. You, as motor vehicle dealerships, would know this more than anyone!
With all sorts of pressures placed upon the car industry including changing economic conditions - petrol prices, strikes affecting supply, etc - how does your virtual “shop front” make that critical point of difference when you are attracting customers? The pressures apply to used cars as well as new particularly when you consider the production of cheap new vehicles across all brands and the nature of the competition amongst brands and dealerships alike. By now, many of you already have websites. When was the last time you looked objectively at your website and asked the "consumer" in yourself these types of questions?
- I know the name of the dealership, but I want to access their website first. How do I get there?
- How professional does this organisation look based upon it's online presence?
- Would I buy a car from this organisation based on how the site looks?
- If I need to know something about the dealership, is that information readily available?
- What services does the dealership offer?
- How do I get to the dealership?
- Do I feel the need to contact the dealership because there is a benefit to me in doing so?

Does the website convey the right kind of message to me, the consumer?
- Does it show its point of difference?
- Does it reflect trustworthiness, honesty & integrity?
- Is it offering a valuable service?
- Is it informative?
- Does it have testimonials?
- Does it show availability?
Another scenario - I am a prospect that is after a specific vehicle....
- Does this dealership have a suitable car on offer?
- If not, can the dealership help me find it?
- Do I know enough about the car to be able to tell exactly what it is?
- What does the car look like?
- What kind of warranties / guarantees / services can I come to expect from this dealership when I am contemplating making perhaps my second or even largest spend on?
It is important to create and maintain a "personality" that projects the qualities that you want your customers to genuinely feel about your business. It is equally important to capture emotions as well as deliver a strong message within your website.
For those you who have found this article to be a waste of time, I congratulate you on having already spent the time to make yourself known to the world as a unique and interesting entity via your website.
Even if this is to simply reinforce important sales information - which you should regularly do – make sure that your "online salesperson" is doing the best job it can. Remember it is readily available to your customers 24 / 7 and it is not costing you a cracker in commission. I hope that the 5 minutes it took you to read these sales tips were worth it.
